In-Country Program

In partnership with our Australian based surgeons, we collaborate with a select number of overseas hospitals to facilitate surgery locally. In these cases, we work extensively with our medical advisors to ensure that the surgical interventions required can take place safely and to a high standard.

As well as funding support, we also provide the children and families with vital pre-surgery and post-surgery support, including rehabilitation, ensuring the best possible outcome for each child.

Meet Ngoc

Ngoc was our first in-country case in Vietnam.

Although Ngoc is happy and smiling in this picture, she has cerebral palsy, which has drastically impaired her mobility. Her achilles tendon was severely contracted and as a result, Ngoc walked on her toes.

To walk pain-free and make her everyday life more manageable, Ngoc desperately needed surgery to lengthen her achilles tendon.

Ngoc had her surgery and is underwent rehabilitation all in-country.
